Corinthians TV programme and launch of 2nd vol ‘Queer Nottingham’

Upcoming programme about the Corinthians, a 1950’s women’s football team who defied the FA’s ban on women’s football teams using FA pitches. It will be shown on BBC4 Tuesday 19th May at 10 pm. It seems to have a much wider inclusion message because the team was founded by a football scout who wanted his daughter Doris (who was deaf) to have the opportunity to play. The story is told by surviving Corinthians players so it will be well worth watching.  It’s so good to see programmes like this appearing on TV.
And also  the launch of CJ DeBarra’s 2nd volume of Queer Nottingham: 1991-2020 at Nottingham Central Library is on Friday 22nd May. Follow the link to book a ticket. Should be a great event!
