First of all, don’t forget our walk next Sunday 6th September. Karen will be highlighting locations connected to Susannah Wright and Mary Bailey, two remarkable women who were born in the 18th century and left their mark on history. Meet at the Quartet statue at the top of Chapel Bar at 2pm, £5.

After that, there is Heritage Open week with lots of different venues opening their doors and offering activities or special tours of buildings not normally accessible. See the links below for ideas but there will be many more: People’s Hall for example on 12th and 13th September    from 10:00 – 16:00 (last entry at 15:30).

And on Saturday 10th October, there will be a talk by Nottingham Civic Society about Wollaton Hall: the sale of the century as part of the Marsh Forum programme at Nottingham Central Library. Tickets are free but you need to book via the link below. Start time is 10.30 am.
